My dog Lena has to be one of the weirdest animals I've ever seen. For one thing she is soooo rotten! This week she has started a new little game for herself. She refuses to drink out of her water bowl in puppy prision. I call my laundry room puppy prison because that is where she says while I am at work. Well she just won't drink anything in there so when I get home and let her out she runs straight for her water bowl in the kitchen and drinks like a crazy woman! It makes no sense to me. And then tonight I watered all my plants and she started drinking the water out of the plants. So she has two water bowls full of water but drinks the plant water. So then she had mud and leaves in her beard from the plant! I just can't win with that dog. It makes no sense to me!!!
So does your pet do weird things too?

hm... wonder if you fill up the washer she'll get a drink from there?? just a thought..
Sounds like my cats. They hear any faucet running and they go crazy. If it's not running, they'll sit on the sink and meow until it gets turned on.
Our pets do very weird things. Some of it has to do with water as well. We don't even fill the water dish anymore. They'll drink from everywhere but there, including the dog's dish. You'd think they'd hate that.
But my little cat, Spy, thinks any receptacle with water in it needs to be tipped. If she's big enough to do it, it's all over the place. Weird.

Hmm.. my dog is pretty boring lol
I don't have a pet, so I really can't comment... Sorry.
I don't have a pet, so I really can't comment... Sorry.
I used to have a cat that would only drink out of the bathroom sink.
My dogs do all sorts of weird things too. My female refuses to lay in her dog house, she insists on sleeping on top of it!
If our dog hears the word "walk" in any context, she will commence jumping about 5-6 feet in the air nonstop until you take her out. (She's a lab mix and is a bit tall.)
Also, if my husband comes home and doesn't immediately acknowledge her, she will groan loudly at him.
My Daisy woofs in her sleep and snores like a lumberjack!
Kinda an innate things amongst our lil pets i must say. My cat likes to drink water from everywhere...(my glass, the wash basin, tub, potty, name it!) but yea..i still have to faithfully keep her bowl filled...so that she can't pick a 'paw' and "say told ya".....!!
Now i don't really get the obsession she has with tipping things off....?? why?
oh..and i'm allergic to her..but yea... also her slave...truly....I'm an animal lover..and not just a 'cat' lover..but hey...cats do get to make u love 'em on their terms....jesus...is that how we women like being treated at the end?? hehe.
My cats, one male and one female, taughtthemselves to pee in the toilette!!!! I'm serious.
Great post! Visiting from the carnival.
lol my one dog would rather stay outside and eat the snow then drink the water in his dish
My dog stays in the laundry room during the day, too! We don't put her water or food in there, though, because I don't want her peeing. She's not in there a full day - we come home for lunch and the boys get home from school soon after.
As far as weird behaviors - I think all animals have their quirks, it's why we love them! :-)
My two-legged kids are so strange that my dog seems like the only sane one around here. :)
Our Shannon used to howl hello. Hubby would come home from work and Shannon would hear him pull in the driveway.. he would run to the window and howl what sounded like "Hello Daddy" :)
My Lance goes into a kennel in my front yard when I'm out. He not only won't drink his water in there, he won't do his busines, either. When I get home & let him out, he dashes for the nearest bush, then runs inside with me & drinks from the water bowl in the kitchen. I have a six or seven year old kennel that's never been soiled, lol!
Your dog is a character! Mine do crazy things like peek out the doggie door and won't let each other in.
Our dogs get food in their mouths (dry dog food) and then bring it to the room we are in and drop it on the floor. Then they eat it!
I don't currently have a dog, but my mom's dog Isabelle runs to get a bite of food before she'll go out to go potty. And the other two dogs all have to take toys out with them!
My cocker spaniel could sniff out chocolate where ever it was! Climb on tables and everything. I had to be really careful where I put the good stuff!
can anyone tell me why my jackrussel, roxy, covers my mouth with her neck when i make funny sounds at her?
My dog Chelsea does this incredibly weird thing with her food. She pecks and pokes it with her nose, then move her bowl with her nose, peck few more times, move around her bowl making a pushing motion with her head but not actually touching her bowl, then she'll poke and peck some more, then quickly poke her water and quickly go right back to poking the food. She will take a piece out every so often and put on the floor. If she notices us watching her or we laugh, she'll stop and look at us, take a bite and when she thinks we aren't paying attention, she'll start again. By the time she is done, there is a pile of 3 or 4 pieces of the food on the floor where she laid them. WEIRD!!!
Our Sheltie picks up all his toys and puts them in his toybox. He will bark and bark nonstop anytime one of us gets home UNTIL we pet him. He also has a fetish with licking my step-dad's feet at night (gross).
Our Poodle mix picks certain dried foods out of his bowl and leaves them on the floor.
My dad had a Mountain Cur who would howl every time he yelled touchdown.
I don't think that your pet is becoming crazy maybe she do that kind of this to play with you and it could be the only way that she found to catch your attention
I think that I have a crazy and weird pet , he is an american staffordshire terrier, and he does some crazy thing as jump alone, and bark alone in the back jard.
My poodle Neuget does this weird thing with his food. When I feed him wet food he uses his nose to pat the food down and if a sock or a piece of cloth is on the floor he uses his nose to push it into the bowel of food and water and pats it down. Other times it looks like he is pushing invisble food on the sides with his nose like something is there it's funny and weird
lisielove my dog Neuget does the same thing and he is a poodle put he eats some of it when i put it in the bowel then pecks at it then pushes socks and cloth into the food and water and pats it down
My dog is like a baby..
When is around 10pm she starts to cry as if she were in pain or something.. I carry her on my harms and starts falling asleep..
This has been the same for the past 5 years.. and If I don't carry her.. she doesn't stop.. goes under my bed and crys there
I had more thank one dog but the most memorable ones were just 2 one used to wee herself up every ssecond she sees someone knew in the house and then the other one i had we used to live on the country sideso we used to see chickens everywhere and he use to kill all of them my neigboor used to hate me.
I love Dry bones because is a great for showing us the humerus side of decidedly NOT funny situations.
