My name is Jessica. I've been called Jess or Jessie for quite awhile now though. When someone calls me Jessica I'm just sure that I'm in trouble for something... Weird how that works.
But Jessica means "God Sees". I thought that was kind of cool. Here is some other info about Jessica that I found on the good old internet. Jessica was first used in this form by Shakespeare in his play 'The Merchant of Venice', where it belongs to the daughter of Shylock. Shakespeare probably based it on the biblical name (Yiskah), the name of a minor character in Genesis, which meant "YAHWEH beholds" in Hebrew.
I like the biblical spelling and pronunciation of my name. I think it is pretty. Maybe I should start going by that....
So what does your name mean?

This one only works with your readers that wish to reveal themselves to the world. :-)
My full name means:
Surplanter (James < Jacob, see Genesis 26:26 [lit. heal grabber])
Ruler of the Home (Henry < Heim riche, German)
Warrior (Martin < Martinus: of Mars, God of War, patron god of ancient Rome)
As you can see, if I lived up to my name I'd be one tough scoundrel!
I don't know what my name means, but it is a Hebrew mans name. However, i was named after a racehorse that kept losing! lol
My real name means "God's house" and is very biblical. But I can't tell you what it is because I'm anonymous. My alias name which is Sara means "lady" or "princess" in Hebrew. Just wanted to share!
