What Is Your Favorite Kind of Pie

My favorite kind of pie is homemade chocolate pie! It's delicious. Coming in a close second would be key lime pie. It's a bit heavenly....

I forgot to post yesterday so if you want to submit a question for me to answer go ahead and I will answer it on Monday. We will just be a day behind this week...

What is your favorite kind of pie?

My favourite kind of pie, is not really a pie, it is a pastie. This is a savoury pie in the Uk, not sure if it called something else in the states. It contains meat, normally beef or lamb, and vegetables. It can be eaten on its own as a snack or with salad or vegetables as a main course. There is a wholesome simplicity to a pastie that no other pie can match.

It was the staple food of the Cornish (people that live in Cornwall on the South coast of the UK). The pastie originates in times when Cornwall's primary industry was tin mining. The miners used to take their lunch wrapped in a pastry pocket so it was easy to transport and eat in the darkness of the mines.

Where is your favourite place to relax? Where you can unwind and put the worries of the day to rest.

My favorite pie is Cherry! I guess because my Grandma had a cherry tree and we would pick the cherries and she would make them into a pie. Boy I miss her cooking.

Fabrefaction, pastie are very popular in Norther Michigan too. They are delightful. I do have a recipe if interested.

My favorite kind of pie is egg custard pie. It's something I occasionally enjoyed as a child in the Philippines. Now, I don't see this type of pie in Boston. Chinatown has small egg custards, but these aren't quite the same; not as "eggy."
